Stay A While or Even Settle Down…
The following is an excerpt from the Village of Warkworth website –
“Warkworth is a place you’ll want to visit, to explore, to savour and return to.
Maybe stay a while or even settle down, buy a home here or set up a business. It’s a community on the move and there’s excitement in the air.“
“The following description of Warkworth is based on our visits to the community.“
Fortunately Judi and I live close enough to Warkworth to visit it often.
The drive from Cobourg to Warkworth is especially picturesque, as we have to drive through the Northumberland Hills to get there. Warkworth is a country village surrounded by seven rolling hills.
The historic downtown has numerous shops to interest village visitors. Warkworth has a lot to offer, whether it’s for a casual Sunday breakfast or one of its well organized events!
Some of the events that you could enjoy include Warkworth Western Rodeo Weekend, Warkworth Maple Syrup Festival, Warkworth Art in the Park, Warkworth Lilac Festival, Warkworth Long Lunch to name a few.
Warkworth is also known for its active art community. The Warkworth Town Hall Centre for Arts is wonderful for hosting professional musicians, actors and art shows! Located with the Municipality of Trent Hills, the Village is well worth the drive. Make sure you choose one the many scenic routes and you won’t be disappointed!
