Port Albert Ontario Visited

by Gary McWilliams (aka Festival Nomad)

A friend of mine told me about Port Albert and how great it was. So, I wanted to see the community for myself.

Port Albert is a small community located on the shores of Lake Huron.

If you drive along the Bluewater Highway, between Kincardine and Goderich, you’ll find Port Albert.

However, to find it you have to be VERY observant! If you “blink” or are not paying close attention, you will miss the turnoff to the village.

However, when you find it, you’re in for a treat.

The general store is a “hoot”, fun and food!

Close by there’s a picturesque river (Nine Mile River) flowing over an old dam.

My friend also told me that the sunsets were awesome. Unfortunately, we have not experience me yet. Some day!

If you are traveling in the area, try to “find” this hidden “gem”.

Just make sure you keep “your eyes wide open”!
