Elmvale Ontario Visited
by Gary McWilliams (aka Festival Nomad)
(Assisted by Thomas McTaggart)
The first community and event we visited as Ontario Visited was Elmvale Ontario.
This happened in April 2007 when we visited the Elmvale Maple Syrup Festival.
This was the beginning of our 100’s of Ontario Visited “adventures“.
Elmvale is a small community located north-west of Barrie.
Elmvale is also, now, a community the we visit and pass through, several times a year.
Little did we know, back in April 2007, that if would become a familiar community.
Elmvale is alive with community spirit!
It has a number of events and attractions that draw visitors to the town and make its residents proud of their community.
As I mentioned above, Judi and I visited Elmvale for its Maple Syrup Festival (twice).
Other great Elmvale events include their annual Fall Fair and the Elmvale Water Festival.
Elmvale attractions include the Elmvale Jungle Zoo.
And their Heritage Park.
In fact, this is where my friend Tom McTaggart and I took our Oh Canada Eh! Game video for Elmvale Ontario Visited.
As a “BONUS” to this article, I am including our 10th Ontario Visited Anniversary video, taken at the 2016 Elmvale Maple Syrup Festival.
