Ontario Community Spotlight

Featuring the Town of Fergus

This month’s Ontario Community Spotlight, presented by Ontario Visited, is the Town of Fergus.

Fergus is a historic town located northwest of Guelph. The area was first settled in 1833 and is now the largest community in Central Wellington.

Judi and I love driving through the downtown area. Its historic buildings show Fergus’s deep Scottish roots. It’s Fergus Scottish Festival and Highland Games is recognized as one of the best in Ontario!

If you are interested in history, historic buildings and beautiful scenery, Fergus is a great place to visit and explore.
